The control spool of the main valve is in the spring-centered offset position at approx. 6 % of the stroke in direction P→B/A→T. The integrated electronics (OBE) compare the specified command value to the position actual value of the control spool of the main stage. In case of a control deviation, the control solenoid of the pilot control valve is activated and its control spool is adjusted. The flow which is activated via the control cross-sections at the pilot control valve leads to an adjustment of the control spool of the main valve.
