It controls the flow continuously proportional to the input signal. Any excessive residual flow is led to the tank or to another actuator via the port. The valve basically consists of housing, control spool, control spring, pressure compensator piston, orifice bush, pressure compensator spring as well as proportional solenoid with central thread and detachable coil.
