It serves to convert rotary motion into linear motion and vice versa. The basic functioning of a planetary screw assembly is easy to describe, but the range of designs and the requirements for practical applications are many and varied. Planetary screw assemblies are designed to transmit high forces and thus round off the upper end of the screw assembly product portfolio.
