The flow is controlled proportionally by external pilot pressure applied to ports X1 and X2. The valve includes also a counter balance function on the motor pressure line. The valve is normally mounted on the motor via an adapter. Maximum operating pressure is 350 bar and maximum flow 1000 l/min. The control pilot pressure varies from 4 ... 16 bar. A minimum pilot flow of 5 l/min must be available. The valve is available in one configuration V4WCA-1000 including adapter Notice! Only one valve is to be used on the Hägglunds CBM. For more than one valve, contact Bosch Rexroth DC-IA/EHD. Function There are four main cartridges, one of which also has a counter balance function. These cartridges control the direction and amount of flow directed to and from the motor. The counter balance cartridge (320) will close against the flow coming from the motor when lowering unless a pilot pressure is present from the motor Cm line thus preventing over running of the motor. The counter balance cartridge starts to lift at a pilot pressure of 20 bar and is fully open at 28 bar, regardless of load pressure. External pressure is applied to X1 to initiate hoisting and X2 to initiate lowering. The amount of flow to drive the motor depends on the pressure applied. P is the supply port and C is the return port. To hoist, a pilot pressure is applied to X1 which causes cartridge (340) to lift and open allowing flow towards Am in proportional to the pilot pressure. The pilot pressure also switches the pilot valve (311) and vents the spring chamber of cartridge (310) and allows it to open connecting the oil from the motor to C. When the pilot pressure is applied to X2 at lowering cartridge (330) lifts and opens, allowing flow from P in proportion to the pilot pressure to pass into Cm. Am is connected to cartridge (320) where it is held until pilot pressure from the Cm line acts on the cartridge pilot section and causes the cartridge (320) to lift and open allowing flow into C. If the motor tends to over-run the pilot pressure from Cm decrease and the cartridge (320) will close and restrict the flow into C. The port XLS senses the pressure in the motor drive line in use. This port allows load sensing control of an associated pump. XLS must be plugged when the valve is not used for load sensing. LS-signal used: Connect XLS-port to LS-port of the associated pump. If the pump controller has a very low leakage the M6 plug inside the TL port should be replaced with an orifice size Ø 0.8 or Ø 1.0 to relieve th
